These dainty little pastries could impress anyone are easy to make
What You'll Need - Makes 8 Puffs
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 250 ml Fresh Cream
- 4 Tbs Confectioners (icing) sugar
Prep - 2 Minutes
- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees bake
Let's Get Cooking - 40 Minutes
- In a sauce pan, place the water into the pan with the butter
- Once the water and butter come to a boil add the flour and salt and stir with a whisk until the flour and water are combined - remove off the stove
- Add one egg and mix with a whisk until the egg is fully combined with the pastry
- Allow to rest for 5 minutes then add the second egg and combine
- Allow to rest for 10 minutes
- Using a piping bag of a tablespoon scoop the pastry into a greased baking try leaving about a centimetre between them
- Bake for about 20 minutes until the pastry has risen and is is golden brown
- Allow the pastries to cool down completely - in the meantime pour the fresh cream into a bowl, add the icing sugar and whisk until firm
- Once the pastries are cool, slice them in half and fill them with the whipped cream
- Fill free to add more fillings (strawberries, chocolate etc )
