almon is such a beautiful fish that doesn't require much work or flavouring. This is a method i use to achieve the perfect pan fried salmon fillet.
What You'll Need - Serves 2
- 2 Salmon Steaks
- Salt & Pepper
- 2 Tbs Olive Oil
- 2 Tbs Butter
Prep - 5 Minutes
- Season the salmon steaks with salt & pepper
- Press the salt and pepper into the salmon and allow it to sit for 5 minutes \
Let's Get Cooking - 10 Minutes
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil and 1 Tbs of butter (Leave the other half for later)
- Place the salmon skin side down allow the skin to become crispy (About 4 minutes)
- Flip the salmon and cook for 1 minutes
- Flip it back with the skin side in the pan and place the tablespoon of butter ontop of the salmon
- Grab a tablespoon and baste the salmon (scooping the oil and butter from the pan and pouring it into the salmon) for 1 minute
- Remove from the pan and allow to rest for 2 minutes
- Serve with your favourite sides
